Hey Guys! I'd like to tell you a little about myself & my story, if you don't already know me.
My name is Michelle and I am mommy to 3 beautiful girls and a wife to one amazing man. I live in northern Michigan. I am a self taught natural light/outdoor photographer. NEW - I just opened my indoor studio! <3 Some of my favorite photos are those using back-lighting. I also love taking scenic/nature photos. The majority of my sessions are families, couples, maternity and children. I use a Sony a33 dslr and Adobe Photoshop for post-processing. I received my Bachelors degree, triple major in Advertising, Marketing & Management from Northwood University in 2009.
Here is just a little summary of how I got where I am today.
I started dating my husband my senior year in college (we are from the same small town). We dated long distance for a few months while he was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He was in the US Marine Corps at the time. He came home for a month, on leave, to visit and we got engaged before he left. We continued a long distance relationship while I graduated from college and planned the wedding. After we got married I went to Okinawa with him for about 3 months. When I came back to Michigan I was pregnant with our first and made plans to move to NC where he was getting stationed next. We lived in NC for 4 years and where I started my photography hobby-turned-business. One deployment and 2 kids later, I moved back to our home town to help run the family business (Subway). A year later my husband was medically retired from the Marines and moved back to be with us. I managed our Subway store for 3.5 years until we sold it in January 2017. I decided to commit full time and start my photography business back up and work part-time with our family business at Michigan Fit Club. I am happy that I'm able to do something that I love and makes me happy, lets me be creative & spend more time with my family.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little about me. If you have any questions, please ask! :)
